Ms Lee Jim Leng obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1984 from the Acadia University, Canada and a Master of Business Administration in 1987 from the Dalhousie University, Canada. She is a Fellow Chartered Banker with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers ("AICB").

On 18 October 2021, Ms Lee was appointed to the Board of Directors of HLAM as Chairman. She was appointed as a member of the Board Audit and Risk Management Committee (“BARMC”) of HLAM when the committee was formed on 23 June 2022.

Ms Lee has served as the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Hong Leong Investment Bank Berhad (“HLIB”) since 24 November 2009.

Ms Lee has more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, specialising mainly in investment banking. Prior to joining HLIB, she was the Managing Director of HwangDBS Investment Bank where she was responsible for the overall development of the bank’s investment business in Malaysia. From 1999 to 2007, she was attached to UOB Malaysia and was tasked to spearhead their investment banking division in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. Prior to joining UOB Malaysia, she spent 5 years in Schroders Malaysia as the Head of its debt capital markets division.

Ms Lee is a Director of Hong Leong Capital Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. She is also the Council Chairman of the Malaysian Investment Banking Association (MIBA), and a Board Member of Asian Banking School Sdn. Bhd and AICB. She is also a member of the Curriculum Review Committee, Securities Industry Development Corporation and a Steering Committee member of investED formerly known as the Capital Market Graduate Programme, Securities Commission Malaysia.

He was responsible for the firm’s day-to-day portfolio management of funds, preparation of in-house investment strategies and overseeing the marketing, sales, finance, operations, and compliance functions. Prior to that, he was with Affin Hwang Capital as Executive Vice President and Head of Research, KAF Research Sdn Bhd as Deputy Head of Research, CLSA Securities Malaysia as Senior Investment Analyst, and ABN AMRO Asia Equity Research as Junior Investment Analyst.

In his 34 years of service, YBhg Dato’ Abdul Majit had served in the Prime Minister’s Department as well as in several Malaysian Missions abroad and in senior positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
