FAQs: EPF i-Invest General

EPF members can choose to invest into EPF approved unit trust funds with Fund Management Institutions (FMI) using EPF’s i-Invest portal. EPF Members Investment Scheme (EPF MIS) is a scheme that allows qualified EPF members to invest a portion of their Account 1 savings into unit trust funds.

  • No Sales Charge - When you invest via EPF i-Invest until 30th April 2021.
  • No Cash Investment - Invest using your EPF savings.
  • Amount that can be invested is 30% of the savings in excess of Basic Savings required in Account 1.
  • Minimum investment amount is RM1,000.
  • You are a registered user of EPF i-Akaun.
  • Members above the age of 55 years old are still eligible to invest, provided you have savings in your EPF Akaun 55 (Akaun Emas).

It is the minimum level of savings you should have in your EPF Account 1. The minimum level increases with your age. If your EPF Account 1 balance is below your Basic Savings, you cannot invest through MIS.

  • Login to EPF i-Akaun.
  • Click “Investment” > “Transactions” > “Buy”.
  • Select Hong Leong Asset Management.
  • Select the fund(s) of your choice, and key-in your desired investment amount.
  • Confirm transaction.

Members who have opted for Simpanan Shariah are only allowed to invest in Shariah compliant unit trust funds approved by the EPF and can invest using HLAM’s i-Invest portal.

You can obtain the Activation Code at any EPF Kiosk or Counter near you by using your MyKad. You are then required to visit the EPF website and click on ‘Login to i-Akaun (Member) >> i-Akaun Activation' to activate your i-Akaun with the Activation Code within 30 days.

For Malaysian members, must own a valid Malaysian Identity Card (IC) and a valid EPF number. For Non - Malaysian members, must own a valid passport or a valid EPF number.
